What is ‘Music with Abbey’?
‘Music with Abbey’ is designed for kids to learn about basic music theory while also gaining confidence and teamwork skills.
We learn concepts like reading music, understanding rhythm, instrument identification, music symbols, etc. These concepts are taught using multiple methods, e.g - Visual (picture cards), written (practicing writing music notes), verbal (singing songs), aural (listening to rhythms).
Lessons are carefully planned to keep the children engaged and involve lots of other educational skills like reading, counting and critical thinking.

It’s completely natural to feel a bit shy and nervous when coming into a new setting. We will do our very best to make your child feel welcomed and valued in our classes. We play lots of ice breaker games to make sure everyone is comfortable around each other. There may be opportunities to perform or showcase something in front of the group but this is completely voluntary.

A REGULAR STUDENT is someone who plans on attending classes weekly/fortnightly. At the beginning of the term, you will be asked to let Abbey know of any dates you know you won’t be able to make that term. These classes/lessons will be taken off of the invoice. The term payment must be made upfront.
A CASUAL STUDENT is someone who doesn’t wish to commit to attending weekly and instead, comes along whenever they would like. Payment can be made at each class/lesson attended.
